And To All...Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone! Hopefully this post reaches you before you embark on drinking, dancing and spending time with family and friends while bringing in the '1o's. Here at theHausExperiment, we would like to thank all of you that visit from around the world (yeah...we check where you guys show up from) and for supporting our site. We've come a long way from our initial site of MC Haus to this one. This next year will bring some huge changes so be sure to stay tuned. Now...I know that year end lists are top priority for most music blogs right now....but, I don't have time to go through all that, so before you finalize that playlist for tonight, take a quick peak at these next few tracks and insert them accordingly into the party rotation. HOLLA (they're all mp3's, right click and save target as)

last minute addition...only play if it's ABSOLUTELY necessary

NEW K$SHA

More from K$SHA, she seems to be storming the scene lately.  I like what I hear.

The Versus Mixtape

Coming straight from our friends, TWP, it's their first official mixtape! I don't think there's any question that we are fans here at HAUS, but for those of you who haven't heard any of their mashups, take a second to download this and get up to date. please.

Uffie - Pop The Glock

I promise you, not a single hipster in this vid.......

Dennis Ferrer - Hey Hey

Awesome Haus track.

SATURDAY

Get down with this funk infused groove with a shred of traditional European house influence.  This should effectively bring you back to summer. If you're not listening to this with your sub cranked up, you're doing it wrong... very wrong.

Armand Van Helden - Funk Phenomena (Starkillers Re-Edit)

LIL JON + DANGER

Just came across this heater.  I've always been a fan of Danger's 80's synths, trance-like background strings, and melodic stabs that bring you straight back to the best decade like you were an extra in a teenage mutant ninja turtle movie.  Its actually pretty complimentary to have some crunk infused into his formula as it brings a completely new energy to it.  Be sure to listen to this one all the way through, Danger is a BEAST.

Lil Jon ft. Kee - ATL Remix, Give it All You Got (Danger Beach Remix)

Eazy-E -  Hittin' Switches (Borracho Remix)

VAN SHE + DON'T FEAR THE REAPER!!

Ever since I heard a snippet of Van She's new cover track a month or so ago I've been digging and digging trying to find the full length release.  Well boys and girls, its been released and is even more beautiful than the snippet I heard.  Their take on the original mega-hit "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" keeps the same dream-like vocals but changes the dark connotations into much more of an engaging and uplifting representation.  I've fallen in love with this track - let's all hope that they keep on producing these epics...

MONTAG

Is this real?  I mean... how the hell did this chick get a recording contract.  I'll admit though, she's got about 3 points of hotness on Lohan...

MONSTER PARTY DROP

With yet another weekend ahead of you, we here at HAUS would like to perform a public service announcement.  Lame, boring parties are becoming a pandemic.  The majority of clubs here in the US and specifically Seattle play what the radio wants you to hear, because damnit if its on a Billboard chart then its got to be played at least like 7 times per night - right?  Absolutely wrong and if you like hearing "Party in the U.S.A." more than sayyyyy ZERO times I will do my best to break your face with a 2x4.  Help us fix this attitude and misconception towards a healthy night out with the perfect remedy... Its tried and tested that music is the heart of the party - it moves crowds and without it, hell - let's be honest, the rager would actually look more like a failed AA congregation.  Put an end to the overpriced and undertuned night clubs by dropping these heaters every chance you get.

Black Eyed Peas - Meet Me Halfway (Richard Vission Solmatic Remix)

LMFAO - La La La (HyperCrush Remix)

Paradiso Girls - Patron Tequila (Eddie Mono Remix)

Porter Robinson - Get Brain

Darius and Finlay ft. Nicco - Rock The Beat (Club Mix)

Can't do anything outside right now - mother nature is having her period all over seattle in the form of wind, rain, and all other kinds of hellfire.  Might as well post up inside, pull a couple people together, and rage it.  Got a little somethin' somethin' to help you out with that...

Would you wear that? There's really no relevance between this picture and the tracks that have been rotating around my mind for the past week....but the lego hat....kind of sick.

ANYWAYS, welcome back HAUS, spread the word to your friends that this site is back from it's original form of MC Haus to the new experimental form of HAUS, there really is no experiment being conducted. The results are set in stone, people love House music and we post it as soon as it tickles that dance gene in our bodies. Check these out...more of a mashups post if you ask me.

THE XX & DEATH TO THE THRONE

I came accross this mix a couple days ago and have been rockin' it steady since.  Great mix of progressive buildups, smooth reverbed vocals, and stabby melodic synths.  Kind of sad that The XX just broke up, but its bar none a great thing that we still have Death to the Throne...

The XX - Shelter (Death To The Throne Remix)

MAJOR LAZER REMIX & SOME HAUS

Although I'm not too thrilled about the winning remix, two others stood out for me as far above the rest of the remixes submitted. We've got some wicked house music for ya' in this post too.. On a tangent, imagine how good Seattle could be if our city and government officials embraced a vivid and vibrant nightlife instead of trying to stifle and tax the living soul out of venues.. read more here if you're interested.  Enjoy the choones'.

Major Lazer - PON DE FLOOR (SleetWalker Techno Remix)

Major Lazer - Keep It Going Louder (Gashunk Remix)

Woke up, threw together some fidget, some disco house, some party rips, and topped it off with a little HOVA.. let me know what you think. If this doesn't get your head noddin' then feel free to return to your coffin, because you're either a) dead or b) about to be killed by me.

ANOTHER RAINY NOVEMBER DAY IN SEATTLE

Man, its dreary as hell up here right now. The rain's been coming down since I woke up and for some reason this song is keeping me pleasantly indoors. Fenech Soler are yet another group of the UK with The Phantom's Revenge coming out of France. Find some time to go out an enjoy the rain (if you're a native Seattlien) or just enjoy this track.

KE$HA

Kesha is about the most ego driven hipster-chick I've seen come out L.A. in a long time... and I like it. She recently debuted her video for Tik Tok and its basically everything you would expect: Hipster clothes, cop abuse, a T-Top firebird, and this sure as hell wouldn't be a true indie/electro music vid if it wasn't for the over exaggerated house party scene. It's all good though, she's got a music vid and a burgeoning music career and I don't.  Do your thing Kesha.  Be sure to check the Fred Falke Remix on this track too - he seems to be absolutely killing everything he touches lately.

HUDSON / RUUUUSKO

I know a lot of you aren't on to this dubstep sound completely, but as more and more producers are saturating the sound the veterans are finally, in my opinion, starting to find the beauty within the wobble-bass.  Take for example Rusko's new remix of Mr. Hudson's "White Lies".  This track screams hotness compared to the original (video below) and stays true to the title: "Rusko's Euphoria Mix".  Whether you're on your way to work, on the way home from a night out, or are laying around your place on a lazy Sunday this track will be an automatic soundtrack.  He just made the move to L.A. within the past couple of months so to honor the scene down there he produced the ridiculous "Da Cali Anthem".  Unfortunately it hasn't been officially released yet but I got my hands on a version some unknown did off of a fifty second sound clip, be sure to come back when the official version drops - no doubt its going to be ridiculous.  Happy Friday kiddies.

THE CROOKERS INVADE LIBERTY CITY

It's official... Crookers have their own radio station in the new GTA game.  Pretty dope considering the new audience they will be exposed to - hopefully all of the agro-teenagers and aging men who still rock the GTA series will feel this and make Crookers even more of an international phenomenon.  Here's a short preview of their radio show, as featured in the game.

For an added bonus, here is some EXCLUSIVE footage of the good ol' Crooks I took at Creamfields this summer.  Enjoy

WE'RE BACK.

after a long hiatus, we return with a new layout and even more goodies for all to enjoy.  we won't bore you with the long drawn out story so we'll get right down to the nitty gritty.

If you missed Deadmau5 rock the Showbox @ The Market a couple weeks ago, you missed a world famous (emphasis on WORLD - the mau5trap himself sells out shows all over the UK, Europe, and more notably Ibiza) rage Seattle to its core.  This is his latest creation, infusing some ZELDA.  Yeah damnit, I said ZELDA.  Stick your ocarina up your ass Link.
