Swedish House Mafia Documentary
I'm sure some of you have already heard about the documentary being filmed about Swedish House Mafia. It's been in the works for the past few years I believe and should cover 285 concerts in 15 countires. I don't really know what to expect from this film, especially after watching this trailer. The concept is to show the highs and lows of being a WORLD FAMOUS electro crew and the difficulties/advantages faced. I'll tell you right now, I don't care how difficult their lives may be, i'll take it.

Sorry I'm Not Sorry Mr. Zimmerman...
Deadmau5 - Raise Your Weapon (Live from NYC 9/14/10)
Deadmau5... Joel... Bro... The man has made mention of one of his pet peeves being the fact that people rip audio (specifically new unreleased tracks) from live sets / mix sets / etc. and broadcast them all over the interwebs via youtube and other file sharing sites. The main part of this Pet Peeve, someone correct me if I'm wrong, rests with the circulation of low quality audio. This brings with it the misrepresentation of the hard work and effort that goes into perfecting all of the intricacies that come with producing electronic music.
This video was ripped from a live stream set up by Mr. Zimmerman himself from NYC last night, big thanks to Müller for the heads up on this one. The man put it up himself. I don't feel bad about posting another person's youtube rip - this is easily the highest quality version of the track I've been able to find yet, all courtesy of Deadmau5's impeccable use of technology to keep fans tuned into his life. This is his new progressive dubstep (new genre in the making?) track called "Raise Your Weapon."
With dubstep coming to be an increasingly visible genre in not only festivals but in mainstream popularity, there are a couple routes that my favorite grind could take.
a) Commercial popularity ruins it with Miley Cyrus pole dancing to the dubstep remix to "Party in the USA" at the VMA's next year and the genre fades into nothingness.
b) Artists like Deadmau5 continue to push the envelope and progress it down an unknown path of evolution - quality and quantity will increase tenfold.
c) It will lose popularity in the mainstream, radio will denounce it, people will claim that its dead - but the underground love for the nasty/gritty/dirty side of it will remain and will possibly get even "darker"
d) Dubstep becomes so intense (see track in the post below) that it actually turns cars, tractors, semi-trucks and all other vehicles into Decepticons and they destroy the world...

OH F*CK!
SKRILLEX - SCARY MONSTERS AND NICE SPRITES
Everyone... this track is easily poised to generate the most hype in the dubstep world since Rusko's Cockney Thug gave everyone a beginner's taste into the genre. This is not for the faint of heart, those who wear anything with "Audigier" attached to it, and those who think K$SHA is a good artist. This is, however, for all you grimey, Hundreds wearing, Alexisonfire loving individuals. You know who you are.
Laserkraft 3D - Nein Mann
For all you German followers out there...song may be a little old, but definitely not those shoes.

DUBSTEP & DIRTY DUTCH
While we decide on a better platform for delivering choice tracks to the masses (legally), you're kind of stuck with youtube vids. Uhhh... not really that big of a problem, because these two cutters will have rape cases filed against you from your speakers in no time.. get it in and get your youtube-party-stream on.
The Beatles - Twist & Shout (John Revox & Ludaloza Remix)
From greatness comes the next installation in the dirty dutch movement...
Bone Thugs & B.I.G. - Notorious Thugs (Stephan Jacobs Dubstep Remix)
Apparently Stephan Jacobs is not a God fearing man because this track is straight sinful... pretty sure my brain stem was disconnected for a little while there @ 2:12. For all of those of you who said dubstep wouldn't last, check out Mr. Hudson - Love Never Dies (Prod. by CASPA!), no apology necessary.
